Thank you for your interest in returning to LOC this season. We've been working hard over the winter with the City of Leavenworth, Chelan County, Fish Hatchery and neighbors on the river to address concerns about behavior and safety on and around the river trips.
Several issues have come up but one of the biggest is no more alcohol on the river. In Washington it is illegal to consume alcohol in public places. The river is a public place. The city and sheriff will be increasing patrols this year and we are strengthening our no alcohol language and will be turning away any visible violators. Public behavior, trespassing, and the huge numbers of people have also been identified as key areas. As the largest outfitter on the rivers in our area, it is our responsibility to lead the way in addressing these concerns to find a balance between enjoying the river and protecting its health and beauty.
